Where is your God now?

the-truth_obamunist-blasphemyI’ve tossed this idea around for some time and lacked the edge and caustic mood to put a truly fine point on the issue. Today was that day…lucky me. Ideas matter, particularly ideals. A concept bigger than the individual, one of right and wrong, what we live for, what we kill for, what we die for. Western culture once idealized God, as rudimentary as this sounds. The Catholic and later Protestant churches greatly influenced the culture and people strove toward being like Christ, or the ideals set forth in the Bible. Those were generally reflected in the laws of the land and the zeitgeist of the people. That ideal continued after the advent of the United States until the god of materialism slowly crept into American culture. Greed outran morality, legality and any sense of duty. Wall St. continues to be the penultimate example of a society driven solely by excess and greed. So went American culture, we idolized the wealthy, the Warren Buffets of the world, and wealth became the measure of a man. In my childhood I still remember success was thought by many of my parent’s generation and my peers to be a McMansion, a BMW and a swimming pool. Perhaps a vacation home if you’re an overachiever. Which brings us to today.

Just as the transition from God to Mammon happened in gradient fashion, so it is today. The idiot millennials have figured out that wealth does not buy happiness, but in most cases merely serves to amplify and exacerbate the character flaws of the individual to destructive proportions. Hollywood provides an exceptional example. No, the millennials, adrift in a sea of self-loathing, microaggressions, triggers and safe spaces rejected wealth, though they continue to feast upon the wealth of their parents or betters (the producers), and have turned to the state as their new god. While Lincoln, FDR and their ilk have plagued this nation for decades, it is only recently that a significant, and perhaps majority, of the population have placed America on the altar before the god of state. Whether through ignorance, desperation or actual stupidity, my generation will be the first in United States history to idealize the concept of state. There is no higher calling. Like the one, true God, the acolytes of today’s cult du joure believe the state is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and cannot sin. Read the Five Solas and substitute the Federal Government for God. It reads like a position paper for the candidates.

Maee7b14da498bdead561cf745fe58402The attitude of state-worship is a concept most cuckservatives wholly adhere to and eagerly recite the catechisms of for their respective insipid voting blocs. The high priests of the cult have set the McMansion on fire, figuratively speaking. Conservatives have failed to even understand what is happening and continue to consume crayons and throw them at each other in the corner. The alt-right is reactionary, and at least manages to flip the proverbial chess board over and express its desire to pummel the heretics, thought it offers little in the way of solution. The libertarians simply moved to the fire, stripped, lit up a joint and started quietly asking why can’t we all get along. The patriot movement cannot decide whether to put the fire out, feed everyone in the room to the fire, attempt to convince the occupants the house is indeed on fire and that’s not global warming making them sweat, or simply slip out the back door and laugh as it burns. Rather, he just stands there, arguing with himself maniacally, too frozen in either apathy, endless internecine fighting or simple indecision to even move.

The coming badness, is really a religious war. Not the family infighting of the Catholics and Protestants, about which interpretation of the Divine was correct. No, this is a wholly cancerous and all-consuming anathema to mankind taking on the dusty remnants of Christianity, and the agnostic materialists of the baby boomers. History has noted how the state-worshipers dealt with the Eastern Orthodox Church. Progressivism, liberalism, statism, whatever you wish to call it has its roots in religion. It is every bit as cancerous, ruthless and insipid as Islam. Neither will tolerate competition, or even coexistence. We must begin to understand that we are facing religious zealots. Logic, reason and intellectual discourse are simply not possible with the true believer. No, the only headway to be made is in toppling the false idol of the state. Their god is weak, ineffectual, cruel and necessarily unjust. One day they too will fall under its ire and be ground up much the same as those whose destruction they cheered. The irony of Robespierre and the French Revolution should not be lost here. Kill their god. Kill their belief. Don’t acknowledge their deity and then vainly attempt to convince them that yours is superior. Ridicule, mock and scorn every sacred artifact they hold dear. It worked on us once, and it can be used to swell our ranks again. I ask you readers, where is your God? On the Potomac? In his gold-smeared 747? Sitting on 66 Smith Rd., Anytown, USA? Parked in the garage? Who has the blank check to your life? Only quiet introspection can answer that question.

  1. Excellent piece. I have been saying the same for some time now. The root cause is idol worship. You mention a few effects of this and sure they’re bad but here is where we are in big, fat, trouble. We have the blood of 55 million dead babies on our hands, non-stop unjust war for decades, and now homo sex as equal to holy matrimony.
And where is the American church? Beholden to its one true god, the IRS, in whom it may not speak ill of any law or policy lest it be fined out of existence. Free speech is dead in the church. The fact that our daughters and granddaughters virginal safety is at risk every time they have to pee is just another symptom. Has your pastor or priest said a single word to your assembled congregation about any current events or public policy. Of course not. They are bought men. They have chosen their master. You are well to no longer follow them if they will not speak publicly against those that harm the things of God.
And where is the American man? Drooling into the teevee while he sips an extra large genetically engineered high fructose corn syrup. Crayons indeed. I would encourage any and all to read the King James Old Testament again. Study it. What is coming our way is hard to speak. You can’t kill 55 million babies and get away with it. He won’t allow that. The plagues are just now beginning, worse is coming. Stand by? We need to speak to any and all, especially to church leadership and tell them that their going along with all this, through their silence, is against God.
    I attend a mainstream church in my town. They are planting a church here in the same county. The prayer request sent to me by the pastor spoke of finding a location under God’s calling and creating a “pioneer” team for the job, and this;

We spent much of last week finalizing the papers necessary to file for incorporation and 501(c)(3) status. This is tedious but very important work. These papers begin to establish the DNA of the church, and they are crucial prerequisites that set us up for the next set of milestones. Please pray that the filing process will go smoothly and quickly.”

Read that carefully, let it soak in a minute. The very DNA of this church will be established in the deity of Christ Jesus…oops…that’s not what it says…the, the, the government? What the…

    1. My Man, Fred! You nailed it!

In the name of bleeding Jesus–where are his modern day Apostles? Casually sipping their lattes as they patiently yearn for the phone to ring from the White House asking them to “meet and discuss” religious issues with the newest Caesar, that’s what. And then Caesar will beckon, will hear them out–find out what concerns them the most–and then will do a 180* and crush and stamp out these “non-negotiables.”

How can followers of The Way be so naive (and or plainly stupid) to show and to give out their most deeply held beliefs to the executioner of their faith?

The Lord, Jesus Christ, was no pajama boy. He kicked butt cleaning his Father’s Temple. Spoke truth to power many a time. He “got in their faces.” (What do you want from a hard-working Jewish carpenter, who routinely slung around beams, joists, and framing? The man was TOUGH and STRONG.)

But look at his Pastors and Priests today: silence is golden, since gold will flow into their plates as long as no one–including the IRS-is not offended.

Our precious Lord warned us what he would do to “lukewarm” followers. He said he would VOMIT them out of his mouth! Read that again and let it sink in.

And those were the lukewarm ones. What about the silent and complicit ones? Woe unto them.

When the creatures try to best the Creator of the known and unknown universes, only trouble follows.

    2. “I would encourage any and all to read the King James Old Testament again. Study it.”

Agree that one ought to be very familiar with the old testament section of the KJB. However, since the old testament, the Law, was given to Israel alone; since it will be abolished by the new testament, again given to Israel alone (Heb 8); I suggest studying those parts of the Bible written directly to believers today for direction… the epistles of Paul.

      1. You’re that same troll that likes to deflect from the real problem. I’ve read your distractions before. You’re church is apostate buddy and you are a troll.

      2. He came to fulfill the Law not destroy it. He also questioned whether faith will be found when He returns. This is all signs of the nearness of His coming.

  2. I am not a religious person, but as a grateful follower of Jesus Christ, I am a person of specific spiritual faith, and try to live my life accordingly. I have to agree with this post. People have made their religion of choice into their god (small “g”), rather than simply putting their faith into and following God. I believe that the Bible is the Owner’s Manual, if you will, for the believer. But it has little or no bearing on anybody who rejects its Author.

For the enemies of liberty, the state is their god, and since it is inconceivable to any kind of believer that his/her god could be wrong, it is inconceivable that the state – and by extension, anyone acting in the name of the state – could be wrong. Thus, we find ourselves at the place which any sentient being would have hoped to never see, but to where we have been pushed by statists who neither see nor understand any limits on their power.

I posted two Facebook Notes in the past two days, here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/chris-smith/a-revolutionary-thought/1230023333704985; and here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/chris-smith/celebrate-or-mourn/1230726846967967.

The idea that was born with the founders – that the single highest political value is the liberty of the individual – is dying. I think it calls for those of us who don’t have the blinders on to be good stewards of what God has given us, and to prepare for what is to come. I’ve bought more……. ahem…… “supplies”…… in the past few weeks than I have in the past year. I am finding encouragement in the words of both the Bible, and lately, the writings of Winston Churchill of all people — the former PM of the nation from which we originally won our liberty.

  3. An excellent reference to the Reign of Terror. I have long been talking about the connection between then and what we have been seeing develop here for the last several years. I have also been thinking about Israel under King Ahab and Queen Jezebel. It is not hard to see the similarities. History does not repeat, but it does certainly rhyme, and it is studied by both good and bad men.

  4. Awe, get off old grace country pastor he is just fulfilling prophecy. Be thankful he pointed you to the book of Hebrews which has lots of good heavy stuff about the old testament being the foundation of new testament. Or maybe he is an infant in his gospel diaper cause all he had was a milk bottle instead of being a meat eating warrior wearing armour (Heb. 5:12-14). I bet he won’t admit to knowing about The Shepherds Chapel or pastor Arnold Murray, the main steam hates him, just like Jesus.

Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin Churchianity cannot save you, the WORD of GOD does

BTW you look like shit in your sheeps clothing

    1. Seeing that you study Gods Word so very diligently as an Israelite (I see your comment on WRSA and unfortunately cannot reply), allow me to ask you a few questions here. God Himself says in…

Hebrews 8:10-11… “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall NOT teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.”

Why do you require a teacher like Arnold Murray at all; why do you need to study anything, seeing that God has written His Word in your mind and heart? (As if…) Also, what tribe are you from? Of course as a believing Jew, you have sold all your possessions and are living in complete harmony with your fellow believers, right? (This is why you slander them as you do rather than trying to see them saved.)

Acts 4:32-35… “And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”

Provide for me the specific scripture which saves, please! I know what I would show a man that he might be saved.

      Nice mouth BTW.

  5. “CGPastor”. Since you at least claim Paul then try Eph2;8 for salvation. No church, circus, kirkus, kirk mentioned.
You wouldn’t know who Israel ( the real biblical, not the propaganda one) is if it bit you in the ass, and it will, just wait. Again, Paul can help you out Rom 9:6-8.
The real church is the body of Christ and is not of this world, John chapter 17 is the real prayer of the Lord.
Pastor Arnold Murray taught millions, survived the Chosin reservoir, Korea and never took a dime for his teaching (I bet you can’t say that). He could also help you understand that God did not lose 10 tribes of Israel, you did.
Don’t lie and steal from us Christians by saying that the old testament is not part of The Living Word (Jesus Christ).
    So sorry you’re butt-hurt about your “soft” raiment (Strong’s G3120) Matt11:8
BTW I’m of a Crusader Scottish clan and nothing changes as probably with you. I’m also of the Lees of Virginia, losing does not make us wrong.

Here is your homework: Who was Cain’s daddy? What parable did Christ actually explain? What did the 2 good churches (of 7 total) in Revelation both know? And what do these three questions have to do with this soon real world conflict which our gracious host has put to the question for this audience to ponder.

    1. You’re a very odd fellow. And presumptuous to boot. I’ll try to make sense out of what you write.

“Since you at least claim Paul then try Eph2;8 for salvation.”

While these verses are wonderful and abundantly true, they are not the gospel of my or your salvation. Today’s gospel in this dispensation of grace is that Christ died for my sins, was buried and was resurrected for my justification. Trusting in this alone is what saves a man. Nothing else. Those verses are found in 1 Cor 15:1-4 and Romans 4:25.

“You wouldn’t know who Israel ( the real biblical, not the propaganda one) is if it bit you in the ass, and it will, just wait. Again, Paul can help you out Rom 9:6-8.”

Actually, since Israel is temporarily fallen (Rom 11:11-12), God does not recognize any Israel today. That’s unfortunate for those of you who believe you are Israel, but nonetheless accurate. See Hosea 1:9-10 and Romans 9:25-26 for confirmation. What Paul is describing in Romans 9:6-8 is the separation of believing Israel (the little flock – Luke 12:32) from unbelieving Israel. This is that which Christ came to divide (Mat 10:34-35). He separated out a small Jewish believing nation from the nation at large He wept over.

The Israel which occupies the land in the Middle East is counterfeit Israel; the Israel who will welcome the anti-christ with open arms and introduce him to the world as god.

“The real church is the body of Christ and is not of this world”

Here is the one accurate thing you say.

“John chapter 17 is the real prayer of the Lord.”

The world is in deep trouble then. This is a prayer Jesus offered up to the Father during His earthly ministry. He is praying that the little flock might make it through the great tribulation (v. 15). Notice verse 9… “I pray for them: I pray NOT for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.” These are the men who will sit on twelve thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel (Mat 19:28) plus those who follow them by believing that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah of Israel.

Do you even know why God instituted the nation Israel in the first place? This is a fundamental question.

Verses 20-21 in John 17 also coincide with the verses I already quoted (which you ignored) in Acts 4. So why are you not living in complete harmony with your fellow believers having all things (possessions) common?

“Pastor Arnold Murray taught millions, survived the Chosin reservoir, Korea and never took a dime for his teaching (I bet you can’t say that).”

Good for him. I hope he taught correct doctrine, but listening to you I have grave doubts. I’m surprised he never took a dime. Since I do not teach the law, I also do not teach the law tithe. Any of the few members of my church who give money do not give it to me. It goes to printing gospel tracts we might hand out and to the internet ministry of Steve Atwood over at http://www.understandingyourbible.com He is someone you ought to listen to on Sunday mornings with us. As for me personally, it is not only my pleasure but my honor to teach the Bible rightly divided to any and all who will listen. I have zero financial interest in doing so. So, yea… I can say that 🙂

“He could also help you understand that God did not lose 10 tribes of Israel, you did.”

I have zero idea how to respond here.

“Don’t lie and steal from us Christians by saying that the old testament is not part of The Living Word (Jesus Christ).”

I never said any such thing. You put words in my mouth. I stated clearly that the old (and the new) testament agreements (covenants) are given specifically to Gods earthly people, Israel. The body of Christ are Gods heavenly people. As both the earth and the heavenly places are fallen (not the third heaven where God resides), God has a plan to redeem both back to Himself by way of Christ. Read the words God wrote and see…

Jer 31:31-34… “Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Hebrews chapter 8 I already quoted in an above post. It says the same thing. The covenant/testament agreements are made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. Deny it and you are denying Gods Word.

I ask again, if you are Israel in the new covenant, why do you require any man to teach you anything? Why does Pastor Murray have to teach millions? Something does not add up here. You can either choose to explore why (and that will require you to admit you are wrong about some things – uh oh…), or ignore it as most do.

Examine this comparison. Christ informs His Jewish followers NOT to consider what they will say.

Luke 12:11-12… “And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.”

Paul instructs us to study. Why? Because God is not going to “zap” us with knowledge as He did the twelve. Something you should seriously consider.

2 Tim 2:15… “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

I said that the direct instructions from God to believers today are found in the 13 epistles of Paul. All the Bible is written for our learning but only a small part is direction for us to follow. All the Bible is Gods perfect, inspired and preserved word. If it is ALL for our instruction, why not build an ark to the saving of your family?

      “So sorry you’re butt-hurt about your “soft” raiment (Strong’s G3120) Matt11:8”

“BTW I’m of a Crusader Scottish clan and nothing changes as probably with you. I’m also of the Lees of Virginia, losing does not make us wrong.”

Again, what? I honestly couldn’t care less who or what you are. I’m a Texan by choice and nobody special at all, so what?

      “Here is your homework:”

Thanks… I’ll pass. I’m sure you’re already quite satisfied with your own odd answers to such. However, as to the real world conflict we are all about to witness… it will be what it will be. Sin is running its course in this world. Wars have come, wars will come again. My hope lies elsewhere. Me and mine are saved. I place no hope in a Trump presidency or a Clinton presidency. Neither one has any idea whatsoever what the real problem is. The population is hopelessly divided. Should either one win, half will be ecstatic, half will be furious. No good can come of this. It is a lose/lose situation before it even begins. And that has been the goal all along. “They” mean to have war and war they will have.

Only God can put a permanent stop to sin. Fortunately I will not be here to witness His just wrath as the prophets and Hebrew epistles foretell. That is for Israel and the unsaved by grace to endure. My calling is heavenly as I have been crucified and risen with Christ already.

Col 3:1-3… “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

In the meantime, He has left me with a message of reconciliation to deliver to whomsoever will listen in this sinful world. Including you. It is today’s “great commission” and is found in…

2 Cor 5:17-21… “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
